Light Is Here
With his installation Light is Here, Finnish artist Kari Kola created the opening ceremony for the United Nations International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies in 2015 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
The installation deals with light in multiple ways, using over hundreds of hi-power LEDS and a dozen large video projectors to reflect on the most powerful elements of natural light: the Aurora Borealis and the sunrise.
